3-Day Best of Istanbul  Guided Tour

Meet your private licensed tour guide at your Istanbul hotel or cruise port and begin an in-depth journey through the highlights of this extraordinary city—where East meets West.

Day 1 | Historic Old City of Istanbul

Your tour starts with a comfortable pick-up from your hotel or port, followed by a guided walk through the vibrant streets of Turkey’s largest city. Visit the magnificent Hagia Sophia, one of the most important monuments of the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires. For centuries the largest church in the world, Hagia Sophia features one of the largest domes ever constructed and stands as a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture dedicated to Divine Wisdom.

Continue to the iconic Blue Mosque, officially known as the Sultanahmet Mosque. Famous for its elegant blue İznik tiles, it was once regarded as the Supreme Imperial Mosque of Istanbul.

Next, explore Topkapi Palace, the former residence of Ottoman sultans for nearly 400 years. Overlooking the Golden Horn, the palace complex features tranquil gardens, imperial collections, exquisite İznik tiles, and the richly decorated Harem chambers.

Visit the historic Hippodrome of Constantinople, built in 203 AD by Roman Emperor Septimius Severus. See the Egyptian Obelisk, the Serpentine Column, the Column of Constantine, and the German Fountain of Wilhelm II.

End the day at the lively Grand Bazaar, one of the world’s oldest and largest covered markets, filled with shops selling carpets, ceramics, spices, jewelry, and Turkish coffee.

Day 2 | Bosphorus, Palaces & Modern Istanbul

Begin with a visit to the Spice Bazaar in the Fatih district, historically known for goods imported from Egypt during the Ottoman era.

Continue along the legendary Bosphorus, the narrow waterway connecting Europe and Asia. Admire magnificent Ottoman palaces, waterfront mansions, and mosques, and see Rumeli Fortress and Anadolu Fortress at the narrowest point of the strait.

Visit Dolmabahce Palace, built in the 19th century as the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire and residence of its final sultans. The palace blends European architectural styles with Ottoman elegance.

Conclude the day along Istiklal Street, one of Istanbul’s most vibrant avenues, and enjoy a scenic walk toward the Galata Tower area.

Day 3 | Hidden Gems & Golden Horn

Visit the magnificent Suleymaniye Mosque, an architectural masterpiece designed by the legendary Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan, and an enduring symbol of Istanbul’s imperial heritage.

Continue to the colorful Fener and Balat districts, once home to Greek Orthodox and Jewish communities. Today, these neighborhoods are known for their charming old houses, hidden churches, and lively cafés.

Visit the unique St. Stephen Church (Bulgarian Orthodox Church), an extraordinary cast-iron structure assembled in Istanbul in 1871 after being manufactured in Vienna.

End your tour at Pierre Loti Hill, a scenic leisure area overlooking the Golden Horn. Enjoy breathtaking views from the hilltop café and reach the summit via a pleasant cable car ride.
