Your journey begins early in the morning, around 03:30–04:00 AM, with a pick-up from your centrally located hotel in Istanbul (Sultanahmet or Taksim area) and a transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Izmir. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our local team and meet your licensed professional tour guide, who will accompany you throughout this meaningful biblical journey. The day starts with a visit to Smyrna (Izmir), one of the Seven Churches of Revelation, known as the “poor yet faithful” church that remained steadfast despite persecution for refusing to worship the Roman Emperor. The tour then continues to Pergamum (Pergamon), an important religious and political center of the ancient world. Here, you will explore the Acropolis and the renowned Asklepion, one of the most famous ancient medical centers. In the afternoon, you will visit Sardis, another of the Seven Churches of Revelation, where you will see the Temple of Artemis, the ancient synagogue, the gymnasium, and the historic Royal Road, all reflecting the city’s former wealth and importance. After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Izmir for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will depart for a full day of biblical and historical exploration. Your first stop is Philadelphia (Alaşehir), one of the Seven Churches of Revelation, praised for its faithfulness and perseverance. Although only limited remains exist today, you will see sections of the ancient city walls and the ruins of a Byzantine basilica. The journey continues to Laodicea, one of the most extensively excavated biblical cities in Turkey. Here, you will walk through the stadium, columned streets, and ongoing archaeological sites, gaining insight into the city’s importance as a wealthy commercial and religious center. Later in the day, you will visit Hierapolis, an ancient city that was once devoted to pagan cults and later became a significant Christian center. Following the guided tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Pamukkale for an overnight stay.
On the final day, after breakfast, you will depart for Ephesus, one of the most important cities of early Christianity and one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. During your guided visit, you will walk along Marble Street with visible chariot wheel marks, visit the Fountain of Trajan, admire the magnificent Library of Celsus, and explore the Great Theatre, which once accommodated approximately 24,000 spectators. You will also visit the Church of Mary (Double Church), where the Third Ecumenical Council was held, and the Basilica of St. John, believed to be the burial place of St. John the Apostle, the author of the Gospel of John and the Book of Revelation. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the airport according to your flight schedule for your return flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, our team will meet you at the airport and transfer you back to your hotel, marking the end of this spiritually enriching journey.
